ESV Study Bible Goes Digital
The ESV Study Bible will soon be available in a variety of digital editions. That is excellent news!
Sin and Surgery
There is some great content coming from the new Straight Up blog. This article is another example.
A Noteworthy TNIV
This looks like a great new edition of the TNIV. Here’s hoping ESV comes out with a similar one (not that I really need a new Bible…).
Announcing Ligonier Academy
Ligonier Ministries has announced Ligonier Academy. “Our intention is to launch Ligonier Academy to initially serve post-graduate study for ministers and continuing education for laymen.” They offer a very impressive faculty.
Are You Busy?
C.J. Mahaney says “Busyness does not mean I am diligent; Busyness does not mean I am faithful; Busyness does not mean I am fruitful.”
Church Prayer Meetings
This article shares some wisdom on facilitating church prayer meetings. It includes a great quote by Spurgeon: “…length is a deathblow to earnestness, and brevity is an assistant to zeal.”
Trapped in Neverland
Carl Trueman: “You are, of course, what you worship, as Psalm 115 reminds us, and thus, as long as we idolize our children and the culture of youth, we can expect to - well, be just like them: pouting, irresponsible, hormonal, unpleasant and, frankly, as creepy as those sixteenth century portraits of little children with adult faces. Trapped in Neverland with no hope of escape.”
Deal of the Day
The Modern Parable DVDs are on sale until Christmas at their lowest prices yet. This is an excellent series and well worth owning.

Has the TNIV changed any because last time I looked into it I wouldn’t feel comfortable using or recommending it. I know many men signed saying it was not a trustworthy translation. Have they changed there translation regarding men and women, brother and sisters the egalatarian translation?
