Purpose: Marianne Williamson, a popular figure within the New Age Movement, has sprung to Rick Warren’s defense. I assume (and hope) that Rick Warren is less than pleased that she has chosen to do so!
Scripture: This video was recorded at WorshipGod06 and shows Ryan Ferguson reciting a portion of Hebrews. He did a great job and it was a blessing to all who attended.
Church: Paul brings news of a new Calgary church plant.
Fact: It’s a fact (according to Yahoo): the most common birthday is October 5. Why? Because it falls nine months after New Year’s Eve…

Interesting about the birthday. I checked out Yahoo and discovered that the least common day was May 22nd. Kind of funny because I found out yesterday that my nephew and his wife are expecting a child, on May 22nd.
Since it’s Thanksgiving here in the states, I just wanted to let you know that I thank God for you and this website. I truly appreciate your writing, your comments and your book reviews. Have a wonderful day.
Thanks Tim for posting Ryan’s recitation. God’s word is moving.
Half of my 6 children’s birthdays are in October. But 1/3 of my children’s birthdays are in November.
RE: Purpose Tim, I don’t see what the problem is here. Williamson’s argument is far more Constitutionally-sound than is most “religious/political commentary” these days; you’re not getting a case of ad hominemitis, are you? ;)
Tim,
Thank you for linking to the Ferguson video of Heb 9,10 yesterday. My wife and I found it very powerful.
My birthday is October 5th, and my twin brothers’ birthdays as well, 10 years later. People think it’s interesting, but come to understanding when they have seen our mother on New Year’s Eve!
