Tim,
Reading your ala carte this morning I was going to ignore the American Spectator article but decided to go to it anyways. Imagine my surprise when the article was written about my son’s unit!!! My son is the platoon leader of a different platoon in the same company. My son, by the grace and mercy of God, returned safely from Iraq after 15 months on November 1. The ceremony at Ft. Bragg welcoming them home was beautiful and joyful, yet bittersweet as they mentioned the 44 men that did not make it home. Thank you for linking to that article. Thank you for allowing us to see the bravery of our soldiers. Thank you for showcasing the sacrifice made by the men and women who are in Iraq. I read this article with tears pouring down my face for the men who did not return and thanksgiving for those who did. To God be the glory! diane

They didn’t overlook SGM music — they just ran out of room after talking about luminaries of the faith like Diamond Rio, Christina Aguilera, and Whitney Houston.
