Sports: Something to think about when your kid tells you he wants to play professional football for a living.

Weather: Kirk Wellum decided to stop and think: “even ice storms and power outages can be used by my heavenly Father to lead me to think about things that really matter!”

Theology: Phil Johnson also decided to stop and think and has offered his bit on the now infamous “Stop and Think” video.

After becoming a Christian many years ago, the Lord quickly trimmed many sinful things from my life including drinking and involvement in the occult. One of the hardest things for me was controlling the words of my mouth. Profanity was just the way I used to communicate all the time. Now nearly 25 years later I am wondering what exactly constitutes profanity? Is it defined by culture or by biblical standards. While I am not sure that John Piper’s recent statement qualifies as profanity, I find myself in a mood to define it biblically. Just wondering what others think…
