Thanks for the link to Pastor Kerr’s paper. I was both humbled and encouraged.
I used to work at a planetarium in high school and college. Our Christmas show dealt with the star, and suggested that it was likely a conjunction of planets and stars. The dates suggested in our show match up better with the birth, compared to what is described in Fowler’s blog, so that criticism isn’t as valid. Also, and this isn’t conclusive, but the particular stars and planets involved are extremely symbolic. Regulus - the “Prince” Star, Jupiter - the “King” planet, Venus - the “Love” planet, conjoining in Leo - the “Lion” constellation.

“Moralanity”, that sounds like a Bush-ism in itself!
