A La Carte (1/5)

Friday January 5, 2007

Preaching: Unashamed Workman makes a case for preaching using the words of a variety of Christians.

Audio: This horrendously awful song is circulating through the Reformed corner of the blogosphere. It is an ode to free will (which is to say an ode to oneself).

Theology: The Resurgence blog has begun an interesting new feature called the Heidelberg Project. I wish I had thought of this one.

Video: Oh my.

I had not see the video of that “Larger Than Life” series up to this point, although I had heard of it. I don’t know what to say except “Is that pastor for real?!”

Please tell me Hulkology, like Hairology, is a joke. Sometimes I wonder what dear old dad thinks.

Ed Young (the “pastor” in the video) is yhe brother of Cliff Young, the lead singer for Caedmon’s Call. Their father is Ed Young (also, but not Sr.) pastor of the second Baptist (mega) Church of Houston. Although I do own some CC CDs, this is the first time I have seen Cliff’s brother in cahouts with the Hulkster. Mildly disturbing, to me at least, but I don’t think it’s a sign of the Apocalypse. Of course I could be wrong on either account.
