If Driscoll’s philosophy is correct as far as the way he addresses his audience, the I would expect Piper, Mahaney and the other speakers to talk like he talks while in Seattle for the Resurgence Conference. I will be very confused if they do not.

Larry Norman was a big part of life for me and my friends way back in the mid-seventies! I was really touched to read what Ray Fowler has posted about him, and also by the song of Norman’s he has audio to, “Goodbye Farewell.” It happens that I recently read another article about him in Matthias Media’s “The Briefing”:

(click under “The Longing”—“Here I am talking about Jesus just the same: Larry Norman at 60”)

Thanks for linking to that information, Tim.

And on the Franky Schaeffer debacle… that sad story reminds me of David and his sons, especially Absalom. It certainly serves as a warning to fathers and mothers, doesn’t it?
