RE: the sleep deprivation/morality story

Well, in my own life, I tend to get more aggravated when I am sleep deprived. This can lead to less patience, incorrect attitudes, and harsh reactions. Also, the whole “sleep on it” thing works for me if I am especially worn out. I am able to concentrate more and have a better focus on things after a good night’s sleep.

Obviously, sin is still sin, but it shows that God made us whole beings and that the state of our physical body can affect us spiritually.

I just read your synopsis of the talk by Dr Muller on the Spirit and Apologetics from the Ligonier Ministries Conference this weekend. Just a question about the 5th point in the paragraph - you state that some came to hear Jesus because of the desire in their deepest ressesses for a Saviour. (I think that is pretty close to what you said) Do you mean that they are drawn to God because of something from within them, outside of the intervention of the Spirit ? My connection to the live webcast got cutoff halfway through that talk, so I don’t know what Dr Muller said. The statement you made does not ‘jive’ with the idea that it is God who quickens the soul and puts the desire in us to seek after Him. Can you comment ? Thanks.

I can’t remember the full context there, but I think this would be the people who are truly being called by the Spirit—those who are experiencing the inner call and not merely an outer call.
