Just want to mention how spot on Al Mohler is in that article linked above. It is the most grace and truth saturated article I have ever read on the subject. It encourages me to see someone of his calibre tackling the issue publicly in such a well articulated, considered and Christ-like way. Every Christian should read it!
This must be close to the record holder for “most ALC items in one go”!
Thanks!
Tim,
I just watched the atheist debate between Peter Atkins and Allister McGrath and it was fairly weak on McGrath’s part to defend the faith with the Scriptures. I agree with Atkins that McGrath argued more from a psychological position of wanting to be loved and valued. I would have hoped for McGrath to state or quote the scriptures to prove the existence of God, the prophecies fulfilled, etc.
He seemed hesitant to go the scriptures was my take on it and could have presented the Gospel instead of speaking in generic terms.
