Why would you want to prove the existence of God without using the Bible, I wonder? I think, perhaps, my recent Van Til reading is affecting me too much. :-)
I’m with Juice. So is the very Bible that Comfort is not going to use.
Romans 1:21For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
He doesn’t have to prove the existence of God in the first place. They already know that He exists. A better approach, that is a more God-honoring approach, is to bring light to their foolish hearts. And the best way to do this is by using the very tool that God has given us, namely the Bible.
This seriously makes me wonder about the motivations of Ray Comfort. Surely there is a measure of pride here. What does he hope to gain for the kingdom?
1 Corinthians 1:22-25For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Tim, did you read the comments on the Flickr of that picture. Apparently the picture was taken in 1991 and it is being reproduced on the Flickr page. Check it out. It looks like a case of photographic plagiarism.
Thank You !!!
