R. Scott Clark writes about who or what can define the term “Reformed.” “Our Baptist friends are entitled to think what they will but they are not entitled to fundamentally re-define the adjective ‘Reformed.’ Implied in the attempt by some Baptists to re-define “Reformed” so that it no longer entails a doctrine of church and sacraments is a minimalist definition of ‘Reformed’ so that it only refers to the so-called ‘doctrines of grace.’”

“…the confessions are the way that the Reformed Churches confess their faith. They are not immutable. Though it is true that we must conform to our confessions, there is a reciprocity. We must always be conforming the confession to Scripture.”
(That quote is from another blogger’s response to the article you linked to.) But I think this is a right response. A reformed believer is one who is always reforming. What do you think about the claim this article makes, Tim? I’d like to read your thoughts about it.
