Former Drug Lord Finds the Lord
Here's an interesting story from Christian Week. "The extravagant wealth and power former gang member Michael "Bull" Roberts had as one of Canada's wealthiest drug lords reads likes a fantasy. But the road which led him there is the stuff of nightmares."
Dug Down Deep
Josh Harris gives the title and topic of his forthcoming book.
Crocs on their Last Legs
The world's ugliest shoes may soon be no more. "The company had expanded to meet demand, but financially pressed customers cut back. Last year the company lost $185.1 million, slashed roughly 2,000 jobs and scrambled to find money to pay down millions in debt. Now it's stuck with a surplus of shoes, and its auditors have wondered if it can stay afloat. It has until the end of September to pay off its debt."
Fabulous Fridays
CBD has a couple of noteworthy deals in their Fabulous Friday this week. Alistair Begg's Pathway to Freedom is on sale for just $3.99, the collector's edition of Fireproof is on for $14.99 and there is a book and CD gift set of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe for just $4.99.

Crocs....the must sissified shoe (so-called) to be worn by a man ever. I mean , come on , would John Wayne wear them? Not .....I say go riddance . For a while ,as they became more popular ,I was certain the second coming was close .

I am secure enough in my manhood to wear my beige crocs around the house and for an occasional jaunt to the store. They are very comfortable and durable and quite popular out here in CO. My neighbor is an electrical contractor, a South Dakota transplant, and he wears his orange crocs around too -- no shame (his wife however is mortified). But Crocs is a one horse company and styles come and go.

Who cares what John Wayne wears? I feel sorry for you Reg if you think that your masculinity is defined by what you wear. I am even more concerned about those on whom you inflict this troglodytic philosophy. No one has to live up to your or anyone else's idea of masculinity.

If a guy wants to wear a pair of flowered Crocs or bedazzled cowboy boots, what difference does it make?

Why is "not masculine" a term of abuse for shoes anyway? Last I checked, females were about 51% of the population, and I like having something quick to slip on to check my mailbox. Nobody MAKES men wear them, but there seems to be this need to obliterate something just because a lot of men don't fine it attractive for themselves. If you don't like them, don't wear them, but don't hate on them.

I wouldn't wear Crocs. But they are the best shoes ever for kids.
