Voddie Baucham on CNN
Voddie Baucham and Margaret Feinberg were recently on CNN discussing whether the Bible supports a woman in the office of Vice President. The talk became rather impassioned by the end...
Ten Things You Didn't Know About the Earth
From "Discover." The more you read things like this, the more implausible it becomes that it all could have happened without the work of a divine hand.
Joe Holland on The Shack
Joe Holland writes a review of The Shack. He uses this great quote from C.S. Lewis: "...any amount of theology can now be smuggled into people's minds under cover of romance [romantic, imaginative literature, fiction] without their knowing it."
Google's World Domination
"Following the launch of web services such as Gmail, Google Maps and Google Earth, not to mention its acquisition of You- Tube, Google is looking more and more like the computing giants it set itself up to oppose. And the new Google Chrome browser is the most aggressive example of this so far."
Tyndale to Publish Palin Bio
Sarah Palin's biography has been in great demand ever since McCain announced her as his choice for Vice President. "Epicenter Press has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Tyndale House. Tyndale has gone to press for 250,000 copies of the paperback about the newly minted Republican vice-presidential candidate and will begin shipping the books on September 10."

re: "Ten Things" -- And yet, that certainly seems to be the view of the author. Unbelievable.
Tim, it's a little befuddling that your 24 page pamphlet (http://www.amazon.com/SHACK-Unauthorized-Theological-Critique/dp/1934840...) is selling for a whopping $12 on amazon. Just out of curiosity, was this your decision or the publishers? I know you always give advice about getting cheap books, so it just seemed strange that the price was so high for such a small book. Thanks and have a great day!
A very MacArthur-esque performance by Baucham. Whether you agree with him or not, you have to admit that he made a good case for being faithful to a textual, rather than a culturally relevant interpretation of the scriptures.
Feinberg was just being culturally relevant. She did not help her position with those who actually care about what Holy Writ says.
By the way, Zondervan is also making a Palin biography. I would be depressed if P&R and Banner of Truth would do the same.

That is the economics of small print runs. I actually have very little to do with the pamphlet. I agreed to have a publisher print it up so it could potentially go a little bit wider, but wasn't able to be involved in the pricing (except to insist it stay as low as possible).
