"The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment is a truly important work-one that should be required reading not only for church leaders, but for all sober-minded laypeople as well."

John MacArthur (From the Foreword)

"If you were more discerning you’d probably buy this book. If you do read this book, you will be! This book on discernment is simple, clear, well-written and well-illustrated...

Best Laid Plans

I had big plans for today. Here is how I planned out my work day:

  • 9:00 - 10:30 AM: Go to a client and drop off a new computer. Configure the PC and do a couple of other quick chores.
  • 10:35 AM - 12:00 PM: Work on Web pages.
  • 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Lunch.
  • 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Work on Web pages.
  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Finish up an article for my blog.
  • 5:00 PM - ?: Dinner, family time, etc.

Here is how my day actually went:

  • 9:30 AM: Arrive at client and configure computer.
  • 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM: Try to fix a program on the client’s server that just so happened to stop working while I was there.

And that was that. I got absolutely no Web work or writing done today. How tragic. I will try to get some done this evening but am not holding out any great hope! But hey, at least I logged some good billable hours today so it’s not all bad…
