Calvinism vs Arminianism
This is a series examining the differences between Calvinist and Arminian theology. Though I completed it several weeks ago, I did not provide a “table of contents” for the five articles.
- An Introduction To Calvinism & Arminianism - giving some introductory and background information on Calvinism and Arminianism, and how do they relate to the Christianity and church today.
- An Introduction To Calvinism & Arminianism (Part 2) - Explanation and Scriptural support for the Calvinist system of beliefs as summarized in the acronym TULIP.
- An Introduction To Calvinism & Arminianism (Part 3) - Explanation and Scriptural support for the Arminian system of beliefs. This is essentially a rebuke of TULIP.
- An Introduction To Calvinism & Arminianism (Part 4) - Side by side comparison of these two systems of theology.
- An Introduction To Calvinism & Arminianism (Part 5) - Conclusions and the viewpoint to which I adhere. It is important to note, of course, that both Calvinism and Arminianism agreed on the sufficiency of salvation, which is in Jesus Christ.

If I knew what a URL is, I would have filled in that slot. An internet search on Calvanism vs Arminianism brought me to your site. Your teaching is concise and easy to follow. I am grateful. This is a subject I have longed to understand, but have had no real teaching on. I am certain which theology is corect now and I know why. Thank you so much.

It seems to me that you are confusing Arminianism with Pelagianism/Semi-Pelagianism)at several points. What are your sources for the “Arminian” position?
While such succinct summaries can be very helpful, they also run the risk of over-simpliying and obfuscating the issues.
