Reality Check (VI)
I’ve been sick before and after conferences, but never during one. Until today, that is. In this morning’s session I started to feel a little bit under the weather, but thought it may have just been the heat (the conference room is pretty warm). I thought I’d head outdoors to see if I felt better when out in the cooler air. My wife and children were wandering the city today, so I joined them for a while. But I still felt rotten to just headed back to the hotel and decided to crash out for a bit. Hopefully it was just something I ate because I’m feeling a bit better and am hoping that a good night’s sleep will put things to rights. Unfortunately this meant I had to miss this evening’s proceedings. Sorry that I had to do this. Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow and will be able to bring an update from the conference’s conclusion. I’m also due to speak at a local church tomorrow evening and would like to feel healthy as I do that! Your prayers would be appreciated.

Being sick during a time of ministry can be very disheartening. We’ll be praying that you’ll be restored to health soon!

We’re praying you feel better, Tim. David says it was probably grits.

Hey Tim, sorry you’re under the weather! My 16-year old was sick today too. He stayed in the room and napped while we went out to lunch today. I dropped by your table and bought your book (not too many left!) and hoped to meet you….maybe tomorrow.
I blogged about Jono Sims talk tonight if you’d like a recap
http://truthjohn1717.blogspot.com/
He gave a compelling presentation of the gospel.
He said, “The message has been sent that you can be justified and glorified without being sanctified. It-is-a-lie!”
It left me with an incredible, renewed feeling of love for the beautiful gospel.
I’m off to blog about Paul Washer’s talk which blew me away - very hard-hitting - something to convict everyone of their personal sin of choice I think.

No matter how fleeting or prolonged an illness is, I pray the truth of Jesus be made known wherever your voice can be heard, your words read, your life seen and may the Lord restore your health as you press on in HIS truth and HIS love for HIS glory.
Whatever you have to suffer, be it weakness, stiffness, pain, or anguish, may it come with divine presence, that this light and momentary trouble achieve for you an eternal glory, and thus you would be truly blessed.—Spurgeon

Man, I hope you weren’t the guy next to me in the stall “getting sick” the morning of the last speaking.
My heart went out to you big time, if it was you, and I seriously prayed for you.
If not, I’m still sorry for that guy and hope that you were feeling better. I ran across you a few times in the foyer (remember me? LOL). I was chasing a 19 month old rambunctious boy around at times.
But yeah, this conference was amazing. I wish I could say that I heard all the speakers….I must admit, I came only for Paul and stepped out to get my pregnant wife and delirious son back to the hotel so they could sleep. I read alot in the hotel foyer (Staybridge).
I’m hoping that DVD’s are available. I wanna get some. Be blessed ya’ll, it’s dinner time for me so I gotta go… mark jr
