One of the most exciting parts of any conference like this one is getting all kinds of free books. I always get in trouble if I do not make note of the books we receive, so to do so I’ll use Amazon’s handy like “carousel” feature. Here is the first batch. I’ll add more later…
Here are the rest of the T4G giveaways along with most of the Band of Blogger book giveaways (though a couple were not available at Amazon):

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband to Aileen and a father to three young children. I worship and serve as a pastor at

Wow. The books makes me wish I had been there. And then that makes me hope that someone I know will have been given a copy he already has so that I can benefit. And then that makes me wonder if sometimes I don’t justify greed (which is idolatry) because I am greedy for better things than the world. It reminds me of the time I had an African pastor in my office and he was shocked to find out that the books belonged to me. He thought they were the church library. Do I need more books? Would Paul respond by saying “Bring me the parchments”? Just thinking not so out loud.
Wow - still just thinking. I count 17 books. 17 x 5000 participants = 85000 books given away. We are too rich. We have too much. The world should be able to see the glow coming up from us.
OK I’ll stop now
Will there be/is there now a complete list of books given away once the conf is over?
Will there be/is there now a complete list of books given away once the conf is over?
Yes - they will need it for Canada Customs on the way back!
It’s going to take some serious time to read and RE-READ those!
I love books, good books, especially good books that delight in God the Father and His Beloved Son. So I’m rejoicing in your “mountain top experience” at T4G and in the free books you came home with.
But please remember, in this great Body of Christ around the world tonight, some are suffering, some are sick, while others like you are cheerful (see James 5). Give God all the praise for in His providence at this moment you are receiving what He has deemed best to be your part as His child in Christ. But when He deems out the same love and kindness to give you suffering or sickness or the privilege to accompany others in that state, rejoice even more that He counted you worthy to glorify Him in poverty of spirit.
Besides, I never was able to really read with any depth of understanding, more than 2 or 3 books a week; and even then I had to really be diligent not to let it take away from my far greater treasure of spending quality time with my Lord in His Word.
Enjoy for a season and God bless one and all.
John Paul
The conference itself was incredible and I thank the Lord for allowing me to learn from such Godly teachers and to be surrounded by so many faithful men committed to preaching the Gospel. In addition to the presentations themselves, I cannot put into words the value I place on excellent reference material written by Christian authors so knowledgable in the faith.
This conference allowed me to gather some excellent information, which I have added to my library and will help me minister to others. Thank you to everyone involved in the decision to again distribute books to the attendees and to the people responsible for carefully selecting the resources to ensure they were rich in Christian theology.
I was unable to attend the first conference, so I was curious, does anyone remember or know what books and resources were distributed at the Together for the Gospel ‘06?
