Free Desktop Wallpaper Calendars: April 2011
- 04/02/11
- 30
I’m one day late posting this, but I trust the wait is worth it. Here is this month’s selection of desktop wallpaper calendars, all free for the download. There are wallpapers here for your computer, your iPhone, your iPad or just about any other device you might like to dress us. Enjoy!
A few notes: 320 x 480 is for your iPhone; 1024 x 1024 is for your iPad; your desktop or laptop may take any of the other sizes depending on your monitor size and a host of other considerations. If you’re not sure of the size, just find one that looks like it would be pretty much the same size as your screen. Generally you set one of these are your wallpaper by clicking on the link to the image, then right-clicking on the image (once it’s open) and selecting “Set as Background,” “Set as Desktop Background,” or something similar.

Revolting Beauty
Created by Jim LePage, St. Paul, MN. The cross is as ugly as it is beautiful. Ugly because of the physical pain and betrayal. Beautiful because of the love and forgiveness Jesus shows for those who murdered him.

And God Saw That It Was Good
Created by Michael Davenport, Mebane, NC. For most of us Spring is a time when God’s creation awakens to fresh, new life once again. Let us be reminded of the greatness of our Creator, Who, at the end of each day of creation, saw that the work of His hands was very good.

Thanks, Tim. Appreciate these.
Well, yesterday was more of a day to post goofiness, so the good stuff was worth waiting for.
Thanks for these.
The link appears to be broken for “The Simple Story of the Cross” 1680x1050 with calendar.
There is something up with the background with the JC Ryle quotation. While it would download, the computer was recognizing it as something other than a simple jpg file. Even with a .jpg suffix, iPhoto wouldn’t upload it.
By the way…this is a very nice thing you do each month. It’s wonderful to get to change my computer’s background to something new, interesting, and seasonally appropriate.
love the monthly desktops, keep ‘em coming!
Awesome stuff. Thanks!
Outstanding!
I’m not trying to nitpick or complain (never look a gift horse in the mouth) but I’m curious to know what others think.
Does it change the meaning to say “Simply to the cross I cling” instead of “Simply to thy cross I cling”?
I look forward to these every month. Thanks Tim!
Thanks Tim. I appreciate these.
Maybe it would change the meaning more, if there were a variety other crosses to which I might cling. “The” is definitive. It implies to me that there is only one cross that matters.
Just discovered your site this morning and love it. Thanks so much for the wallpapers and info! Beautiful work by these artists!
These are absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much!
Every last one of these is outstanding, and I’ll be using several this month, I promise! My favorite three are Eric Novak’s “In Glorious Day,” Anna Cirlot’s “The Promise of New Life,” and Jeff Nine’s “Risen Indeed,” but like I said, they’re all beautiful.
Thank you so much for sharing these with us, artists and Tim! I’ll be posting a link on my blog . . .
Thanks Tim.
I look forward to these every month. The only problem I have this month is that the one I like the most (The Simple Story of the Cross) sends me to a blank page with the header :AccessDeniedAccess Denied6924AE5A6D144609zKMmnVOGxVmTtZdOxJyoPxCbOPmYb34ByIsFJJ0RbLbCwzeFxW5rOlsS6FSNOCGu
And this seems to be only for 1680x1050 resolutions - which is mine :-(.
Can you fix this?
Thanks for your work (in this and Cruciform too!)
Chad

Blessings to your family this weekend.
Thank you! These are so gorgeous! I appreciate it so much!
Thank you so very much for posting these each month! I absolutely LOVE them :)
Note: Titus 3 - With Scripture 1440*900 is a dead link :(
Love these! Gorgeous! Thanks to you and the artists/photogs for providing them!
Thanks for posting these. They will remind me of the real meaning of Easter in the month ahead.
Love the simple [risen indeed] piece. I edited this into a dark version—it’s a keeper.
I picked hope for a new life. Thanks so much!
