A La Carte (2/23)

Friday February 23, 2007

History: One of Canada's last World War 1 veterans has died at the age of 107. There are only two remaining.

Technology: This seems to be the place to track down the perfect wallpaper for your computer.

ChurchMerch: Yet another piece of ChurchMerch. In this video game you play Moses. A very violent Moses.

Theology: Rebecca talks about propitiation.

News: An interesting story. Can't say I agree with either party on this one!

Moses is back … and this time, he’s MAD!!!

I remember an old video game called “Exodus” - one of those numbers from Wisdom Tree, I think. That game was weird. First off, Moses was pretty much saving the Isrealites by collecting a certian quantity of jars of Manna (?), and solving mazes while not running into “bad guys”. My biggest memory were the holy rocks, which if they touched you, killed you. They also turned normal Egyptians into sorcerors. And yet, reading the game literature, they were supposed to be holy. What kind of theological message is THIS sending?
