Monday June 11, 2007

Books: Dr. Mohler makes some recommendations for summer reading.

Theology: I've often had recommended to me Curt Daniel's "The History and Theology of Calvinism." It's available here in audio format and here in one very long PDF.

Interview: On my list of things to do today: listen to this interview with Mark Driscoll.

Sermon: Josh Harris is beginning a series on another, better-known wee little man.

Most of what I know about Calvinism, especially its history, has come from these mp3s. If you have a daily commute and an mp3 player, you have no excuse to not take these in. This series is phenomenal.

Thanks for that interview recommendation. I thought Mike was an excellent interviewer, and Mark was an excellent interviewee. I have often been irritated by Mark in previous interviews, sermons of his I’ve heard, but I warmed to him a lot more in this interview. He seemed a lot more down to earth and humble than he’s come across to me previously.
