John MacArthur (From the Foreword)

"If you were more discerning you’d probably buy this book. If you do read this book, you will be! This book on discernment is simple, clear, well-written and well-illustrated...

A La Carte (6/4)

Monday June 4, 2007

Film: I found an interesting article about Michael Moore's "Sicko" on this blog. "It's often strangely difficult to try to pin down exactly what point Moore is trying to make, apart from getting you to hate all the things he hates. His interviewers come from the pool of red-carpet zombies who ask fashion models about what's on their iPods, so they don't ask followup questions or tease out the implications of his arguments."

Books: "Slate" writes about Mark Regenerus' book "Forbidden Fruit: Sex & Religion in the Lives of American Teenagers."

Books: Colin positively reviews Steve Lawson's "The Expository Genius of John Calvin."

Audio: The new iTunes U features a large volume of courses from Reformed Theological Seminary.

Blogs: Thabiti reflects on his first year in the blogosphere.
