Tim and Aileen, Desiring God has great children’s resources. We went through their little book on the 10 commandments recently, and it was wonderful and so very helpful.

Oh sure, the homeschoolers are useful now. {big grin}

I have on my shelf The Big Book of Questions & Answers by Sinclair Ferguson. It’s very good and probably just about the right level for your kids. I didn’t get a chance to use it with my younger kids this year but now that I look at it, we should do it.

HTH.

As far as my knowledge of Tony Blair goes, his “religion” is just that, a religion - I’d be surprise me if he considered himself born again. So to me it matters little whether it’s protestant or catholic religion.

Thanks for the link to the Terry Virgo interview, very interesting piece. He’s a great man who’s had (and continues to have) an immense influence on the Church in the UK over the past 30 years. Good for him to have some extra exposure state side!

I like Sally Lloyd-Jones, The Jesus Storybook Bible.

My wife says it is at a good level for a 7-9 year old.

I can’t recommend Christian Liberty Press highly enough. Their Studying God’s Word series is excellent, and grade 2 is right here.

Tim, I’m a homeschool support teacher, and I concur with Juanita on Sinclair Ferguson’s books. The best prices on these are at WTSBooks.

Marilyn Schoolland’s book *Leading Little Ones to God* for ages 4-8 also comes recommend from Sovereign Grace Ministries leadership.

Blessings.

Add another vote for the Ferguson books. So much for variety among homeschoolers! ;)

I thought I’d throw the homeschoolers a bone for a change! :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll check them all out!
