Writing to Those Left Behind
Wired writes about a service that allows you to send emails to up to 62 of your friends (and protect important documents) in case of the rapture.
God Save Us From Obama
So says Doug Groothuis. "I encourage Christians to support John McCain any way they can. This is because the alternative is unthinkable: an inexperienced, pro-abortion, tax and spend, internationalist, racially confused (think of his church affiliation) extreme liberal who does not understand Islamic fascism or how to deal with it. His race has absolutely nothing to do with it."
The Infanticide Shibboleth
In a similar vein, Joe Carter writes about Obama's support of every kind of abortion. "To earn my recognition of you as a fellow civilized human being a person simply has to oppose crushing the heads of infants. Sadly, Obama fails to meet that standard too."
Books for Guys
Mohler continues his book recommendations, this time suggesting historical works for guys. My wishlist continues to grow!
The Life of Reilly
Here is an interesting story from ESPN the Magazine. Rick Reilly writes about his dad who was "an Irish tenor, a yarn spinner, a songwriter, a father of four, a crack golfer and a first-class drunk."

wow.. i’m stunned by Doug Groothius’ comment about Vietnam:
“We do not want to repeat Viet Nam, a war that the US won (at great cost) and then lost because it would not support the Vietnamese government adequately. “

really??

You mean we’re not doing enough with our “WARNING: Car will be unmanned in case of rapture” bumper stickers?

To Roger:

Yes really. The war was in effect over. The North Vietnamese could do nothing in the south. There had been a schism with the Viet Cong who also were almost completely defeated due to blowing everything they had on the Tet Offensive.

So how were the US forces defeated? By a Democratic Congress which withdrew it’s financial support for the troops, it had nothing to do with the on the ground war.

There are tons (like John Kerry) who would rewrite history to a fiction. I hope you are not one of them.
