Feminization of the American male? Um - There is nothing wrong with a man taking a bath or pampering his skin. They say it leads to focusing on one’s self. If this is so - then it is JUST as wrong for a woman to do the same thing. A man taking care of his body/skin does nothing to affect his masculinity. Masculinity has nothing to do with this. As they try to point out (in the wrong way) later on – it has to do with leadership, providing and protecting. How in the world did they decide to write an article on pampering ones skin? It’s neither here nor there. How about sticking to BIBLICAL manhood.

Indeed, a very stupid article on manhood. Let’s use Scripture to discuss biblical manhood and womanhood, not some person’s personal biased views on what makes a person a “real” man or a “real” woman. I suppose the author of that article would suspect I am too masculine since I don’t like to waste a lot of time on the grooming mentioned in the article?!?

About feminized men, maybe it’s a generational thing. I read the article and thought, “what a pathetic excuse for a man.” But then male movie idols in my youth had chest hair - no waxing for that bisexually attractive, prepubescent male look.

i agree it goes against a lot of people’s preconceived notions of masculinity (which as you say - probably change generationally), but the article was written by a “ministry” claiming they were promoting “biblical” masculinity. how embarrasing.
