Thanks for the link to the “Descent into Credit Card Debt” What a great graphic to illustrate the destruction that misusing these little plastic cards can have.

$50? That’s a good deal for Windows 7 upgrade. Too bad it violates my “never buy an operating system before the first patch” rule.

Thank you, John Piper for:
“Being entertained by sin does not increase compassion for sinners.” I found that via TV, I was using the concept of others’ sins as a medium for my own amusement. In my life, I’ve found there’s an inverse relationship between TV watching and listening to God.

I found the braking tidbit interesting. I wonder who the texting was testing on. I’ve seen many people (myself NOT included) who are very good at texting and don’t even need to look at their phone. I wonder if it was tested on people like that, or people who spend 30 seconds to type “Hey, how are you?”
And I’m literally amazed that being intoxicated has hardly any affect comparatively. 4ft, at any legitimate speed is not really that much of a delayed reaction at all.

Frankly Aaron that is such a silly statement that in a way de-thrones God.. Please think about who you are talking about …
Piper’s wisdom to men in particular flows through here. I’ll join him in his confessed inability to withstand the onslaughts of my own mind and the taunts of the evil one wrt where one’s eyes end up looking…
