The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you today.

Today’s Kindle deals include an excellent book on helping kids and teens build their identity in Christ (instead of, say, their sexuality). There are lots of other books by authors like John MacArthur, A.W. Pink, and Todd Friel.

The Results Are in: 2025 State of Theology Survey

Ligonier Ministries has once again released the results of its State of Theology Survey which is meant to take “America’s theological temperature, revealing what people actually believe—both outside and inside the church.” You probably won’t be shocked to learn that the results are sobering.

In the Wake of Charlie Kirk’s Assassination, Get Your Kids Offline

Speaking of Charlie Kirk’s killer, Clare Morell says, “I am not saying every gamer or social media user will become radicalized in the way he did, but nearly every perpetrator of violent acts like these has a similar online footprint to Tyler Robinson’s. Not every child will be radicalized to commit violence, but the nature of the online world is malformative for all of us, especially for children’s developing brains.”

A Conference for Sending Missionaries to the Unreached

The Missionary National Conference: The Lord Who Sends will gather Christians from across the globe to be shaped by God’s Word for the glorious, sacrificial work of sending missionaries to the unreached. Join John Piper, Kevin DeYoung, Mark Dever, Michael Reeves, and others in Fort Worth, Texas, October 14–16, 2026. Register by October 23, 2025, and save $150 off. (Sponsored)

Doug Wilson Is Not a Prophet

Jeremy Sexton has written a very thought-provoking article about Doug Wilson and the movement he leads. He is especially concerned with those who see Wilson as carrying out a kind of prophetic function. “Wilson’s style entertains, scratches an itch, scores culture-war points, and often helps churches grow numerically when they identify with it. But what passes for bravery is something else entirely: something that does not require the sacrificial resolve of a prophet. Often it amounts to little more than fan service.”

10 Mistakes I Made Navigating Theological Differences

Winnie Mughogho explains some of the mistakes she made as she learned to navigate theological differences. Many of us have made these same mistakes!

3 Preaching Rules

Preachers will benefit from reading the three rules T.M. Suffield uses to assess his preaching. “There is lots more that could be said and fed back on, but this is the centre of what I think we should be aiming for in our preaching. If we miss these, we’ve missed, if I can talk in that language.”

Guarding the Wrong Gate

“Anyone who has had to endure a hard season has had this happen. It could be a scary medical diagnosis, broken marriage, job loss, or wayward child. It’s an encounter with a person appearing to offer comfort and support—who may even THINK they’re offering comfort and support—who is really trying to find the source of the problem.”

Flashback: The Ones Who Sow and the Ones Who Reap

No great accomplishment, no great triumph, no great success in the history of the Christian church, or the history of your life or mine, can be attributed solely to the individual who receives the acclaim. Though some may go unrecognized here, they shall be commended by the one who sees and knows all things.

We must think of the sin of grieving or injuring those who love us. Let us think still more seriously of causing others to sin.

—J.R. Miller
