The Affairs of Pastors – Chad Hall: “This past Sunday the pastor of the church where I came to know Christ resigned after admitting he’d been involved in an extra-marital affair. His wife and children suffer while the members of the church wonder how this could happen again – that’s right, in the past 30 years this church has had three ministry leaders resign because of marital and sexual infidelity.” He offers some helpful reflections.

Things We No Longer See – Here are 11 things we no longer see on airplanes. On the upside, we no longer see ashtrays…

Our God Has a Name – Julian: “Our God is personal. He relates. Fundamental to his very existence is the reality that he exists as a person in community. From eternity past the Father has loved the Son (John 17:24). He is a personal, relational-covenant-keeping God. And because he is personal, he has a name. I think it might be time for us to familiarize ourselves with it again.”

Someone Help – This pretty much describes life in a digital world.

Ryan Anderson’s Uphill Fight – “At 31, Anderson has become one of the leading voices in the ‘millennial’ generation against the legalization of gay marriage. With the upcoming Supreme Court decisions on gay marriage, his ideas have been circulated in conservative circles, giving him an influence beyond his years.”

When Evangelism Looks Like a Protest – Here’s a good thought from J. Warner Wallace about one form of evangelism that may not be the most effective.

We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum.
