Free Stuff Saturday (Focus on the Family)

This week, the blog and this giveaway are sponsored by Focus on the Family.

What is The Focused Pastor Couples Conference?

Hosted by Focus on the Family, the Focused Pastor Couples Conference is a space created just for pastors and their spouses—a place to step away from the demands of ministry and be reminded that you’re not alone. This 3-day event is all about rest, encouragement, and equipping couples to serve together with joy and unity.

This year’s theme, The Joys of Serving Together, celebrates the unique calling of pastoral couples.

There’s deep joy in walking side by side in life and ministry. The Focused Pastor Couples Conference is a time to celebrate that calling—bringing pastoral couples together for three days of rest, encouragement, and gospel-centered teaching.

Through practical sessions, meaningful conversations, and biblical insight, couples will be equipped to lead with unity, guard their marriage, and find fresh joy in the mission they share.

Whether you’re new to ministry or have been serving together for decades, come be refreshed, encouraged, and reminded of the gift it is to serve together.

Speakers Include:

  • Gary Thomas – Pastor and bestselling author of Sacred Marriage
  • Dave Stone – Former senior pastor of Southeast Christian Church and Pastor to Pastor podcast host
  • Mark Vroegop – Author, Pastor, and President of The Gospel Coalition
  • Virgil Walker – Co-host of Just Thinking podcast and G3 Ministries leader
  • Tony & Bre Wood – Experienced ministry couple
  • Mike Goodwin – Comedian bringing laughter and insight

Should You Share the Gospel with Your Catholic Friends?

It is a question that seems to arise time and again and year after year: How should Protestants relate to Roman Catholics? Are Catholics faithful brothers and sisters in the Lord? Are they misguided members of an alternative denomination? Are they followers of an entirely different faith that preaches an entirely different gospel? How should…

In My Father’s School Are Many Classrooms

We know what Jesus said about our eternal destination: “In my Father’s house are many rooms” (or, in its older rendering, “in my Father’s house are many mansions”). We know that God has prepared a place for us to live with him forever—a place of safety, peace, and rest. But before we get to that…
