Canadiana: How important is Tim Horton’s (a donut chain) to Canada? A guy returning to Canada from serving at the chain’s location in Afghanistan (where the Canadian military is stationed) received a letter from the Prime Minister thanking him for his service.

Site: HisHolySpace is a MySpace clone by and for Christians.

Apparel: Could this be the next big thing in swim apparel?

Politics: Does anyone else see something wrong with this piece of proposed legislation?

Interesting that HisHolySpace has profile photo “rating”. It’s not a feature I would expect to see there. =)

That is surprising Nathan. However congress not wanting the people’s input is sadly not surprising.

Re: HisHolyPlace — Another “Christian MySpace clone” worth checking out is ShoutLife.com.

Re: Swim/Sportswear — this looks like it’d be good for the head-covering Christian crowd, too! =)

As far as that Senate bill, I have mixed feelings. I think the U.S. citizenry needs to be more informed then they are now, but this bill sounds more like it’s designed to get in the way of “professional lobbying groups” who more-or-less use the U.S. citizens to further the lobbying group’s own causes.

Here’s how you can read the bill’s text for yourself (they don’t provide permalinks, so you’ve got to search each time):1) Visit thomas.loc.gov.2) Enter “SEC. 220. DISCLOSURE OF PAID EFFORTS TO STIMULATE” in the Search Bill Text search box.3) Choose the only result in which the exact phrase appears (it will be the first result).4) Click on “SEC. 220. DISCLOSURE OF PAID EFFORTS TO STIMULATE GRASSROOTS LOBBYING.”
