Visual Theology: The Tabernacle

In Exodus 25:8-9 the Lord gives this extraordinary command to Moses and the people of Israel: “Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.” This chapter and the four that follow are devoted to the Lord’s highly specific instructions for the building of his chosen dwelling place.

This new Visual Theology print gives a layout of the tabernacle to scale and includes each piece of furniture the Lord had commanded the Israelites to build. Each piece of the tabernacle also includes its respective instructions from Exodus.

It is a detailed look at the very place God chose to dwell among a fallen people, helping illustrate his incredible mercy towards them. A greater understanding of the tabernacle can give greater understanding to the love of God revealed in his Son Jesus, who tore the curtain of the tabernacle at the cross.

The low-resolution graphic is free to download. Printed posters and the high-resolution graphic are available through the Visual Theology store.
