Whatever Happened To The Bible?

A reader forwarded the following article to my attention this morning and it grabbed my attention. Now of course those who read this site consistently will immediately assume I mean it to preach against The Purpose Driven Life but I think it speaks far beyond that one issue. Just recently my pastor told me that he could make it his whole job to merely direct traffic for all the people that want to push their program or their ministry from our church’s pulpit. Churches are constantly bombarded with people, ministries and programs. And as the author says, these things come and go. What is timeless is the preaching of the Word and a devotion to prayer. Some programs may be beneficial and others harmful, but being devoted to the things the Lord commands will always keep a church strong.

    The Dutiful Introvert

I am aware that the categories of introvert and extrovert are not described or even hinted at within the pages of the Bible. My understanding is that the terms arose from the mind of Carl Jung and were popularized through his teachings—teachings that oppose Scripture in a host of ways.
