Free Stuff Fridays

It’s Friday and that means I’ve got another Free Stuff Friday for you. This week’s sponsor is Evangelical Press. “The mission of EP is to promote reformed literature throughout the world concentrating mainly (but not exclusively) in English, French, Russian and currently Chinese. In reality we do have publications available in at least fifty languages. The principle is simple – every area of our work in every country and language we work in is vitally important. Where one location or language makes a profit, or where we receive any donations, we use this to make our publications more affordable in other less well off locations, thus giving access to all.”

ThessaloniansFive winners will receive a copy of the newest commentary in the Evangelical Press Study Commentary set–1st and 2nd Thessalonians. Here is what the publisher says about it: By studying 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, we get to read some of Paul’s first scriptural statements about the glories of Christ. We also notice Paul’s great compassion and love toward this young Thessalonian church, which may have been only six months old when Paul is writing First Thessalonians. Despite being young, she is doing generally well. Although it is true that there are some difficulties; most of these are caused by those outside the church, but some are caused by those inside the church. All of these aspects have direct and indirect meaning for us today in the 21st century. Of course, all books in the Bible and all parts of all biblical books are important and are worthy of our study because ultimately the Triune God wrote them for the original readers and for us.

The Victim of a Grave Injustice

Joseph was the victim of a grave injustice. Though he was a righteous man, he was being treated like an unrighteous one. Though he was pure, he was being treated like a convict. Though he was blameless, he was being treated like he was guilty. And there was no court of appeal, no opportunity to…
