Free Stuff Fridays

Giveaways / Free Stuff Fridays Collection cover image

With a new Friday comes a new edition of Free Stuff Fridays. This week’s sponsor is ChristianAudio, a company you must know by now for their monthly free downloads. If you visit their site just once per month and you’ll be well on your way to building a solid library of audio books. This week they have put together a great prize package for you. Five winners will each receive the following three audio books:

Ministries of Mercy is that “other” Keller book, that one that was published years before his recent bestsellers. Yet it’s a good book in its own right. “Why would someone risk his safety, destroy his schedule, and become dirty and bloody to help a needy person of another race and social class? And why would Jesus tell us ‘Go and do likewise’? Like the wounded man on the Jericho road, there are needy people in our path- the widow next door, the family strapped with medical bills, the homeless man outside our place of worship. God call us to be ministers of mercy to people in need of shelter, assistance, medical care, or just friendship.”

And, of course, the classics by Sproul and Tozer require little explanation. Both are must-reads (or, in this case, must-listens).

Rules: You may only enter the draw once. Simply fill out your name and email address to enter the draw. As soon as the winners have been chosen, all names and addresses will be immediately and permanently erased. Winners will be notified by email. The giveaway closes Saturday at noon.

    Pitch Perfect and Tone Deaf

God commands us to sing. Yet while some of God’s people are gifted singers, the plain fact is that others are not. In any congregation, it’s likely that some have near-perfect pitch while others are functionally tone-deaf. Those who struggle to sing may be self-conscious, tempted to stay quiet or to do no more than…
