SBTS

This week’s sponsor of Free Stuff Friday is The Center for Christian Preaching, an academic center on the campus of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Center is the host of an annual preaching conference called the Expositors Summit. And on October 27-29 H.B. Charles, Jr., Derek Thomas, and R. Albert Mohler, Jr. will lead this year’s conference as the plenary speakers. The Expositors Summit will also hold a pre-conference , “The Pulpit and Reconciliation”.

The Center for Christian preaching is offering a great prize package that contains the three volumes in the SBTS Press “Legacy Series”. This series is an attempt to re-print classic texts for a modern audience in an attractive binding and format. The books are not available online, so this is a great opportunity to get a hold of the set. The fourth volume in the set will be given away at this year’s Expositors Summit. There will be 5 winners this week and each of them will receive the following 3 volumes:

  • On the Preparation and Delivery of Sermons, John Broadus
  • An Abstract of Theology, James Boyce
  • The Inspiration and Authority of the Bible, Benjamin Warfield
