35 years ago, a simple invitation to meet with a group of Ukrainian pastors set in motion a global movement of pastoral training that God continues to multiply today through The Master’s Academy International (TMAI). What began with Pastor John MacArthur encouraging Slavic churches after the Cold War soon grew into a pipeline of The Master’s Seminary graduates, indigenous pastors, and faithful missionaries equipping indigenous leaders around the world.
From that early work, the Lord raised up a global family of 20 TMAI training centers across North, Central, and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, training indigenous church leaders to become faithful pastor-teachers who can equip Christ’s church and make biblically grounded disciples.
Today, more than 8,000 graduates are serving around the world, many in regions marked by persecution, instability, and spiritual famine.
And each summer, Together We Pray allows us to come alongside these men, their families, and their ministries in prayer.
From July 19–26, believers around the world will unite to pray for pastors, churches, and ministry leaders serving on the front lines of gospel ministry. We invite you to join us.
A Global Need
When the Lord Jesus commanded His disciples to “make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19–20), He did so knowing the opposition, persecution, and spiritual darkness His people would face throughout the world.
God’s Word cannot be restrained. History has demonstrated that opposition cannot hinder the transforming power of God’s Word. His truth always accomplishes what He purposes
Yet no obstacle, ideology, government, or circumstance can restrain the purposes of God.
The apostle Paul understood this firsthand. Writing from prison, he declared, “…I endure hardship even to chains as a criminal. But the word of God has not been chained” (2 Timothy 2:9 LSB). Though Paul was bound, the gospel was not. Though he suffered opposition, the truth continued to advance.
This is the enduring reality behind our theme for Together We Pray 2026: Unhindered: The Word Unbound, the Gospel Proclaimed.
God’s Word cannot be restrained. History has demonstrated that opposition cannot hinder the transforming power of God’s Word. His truth always accomplishes what He purposes (Isaiah 55:11). In fact, as the world denies the truth, God often uses that opposition to strengthen His people, deepen their convictions, and advance His gospel.
And throughout the world today, we are witnessing a remarkable hunger for that truth.
Many have been left spiritually starving, deceived by false teaching, weakened by shallow doctrine, or without opportunity to hear sound biblical preaching at all. Yet wherever faithful men proclaim Scripture, people respond with a hunger for more. They are not merely seeking sermons; they are longing for the transforming power of God’s truth in their lives.
This is the growth we care about most: transformed hearts, strengthened churches, and believers growing into maturity through the living and active Word of God.
Why We Pray
When it comes to the Great Commission, no believer is exempt. Whether in Ukraine or Uganda, pastor or student, retiree or young adult, every Christian has the privilege of participating in God’s work through prayer.
For one week, we invite you to join us in lifting up each region where TMAI serves, praying that God would raise up faithful men, strengthen His church, and feed starving souls with the truth. During the campaign week, you will receive: daily prayer emails (July 20–25), video updates from ministry leaders around the world, and specific ways to pray for each region.
God is at work. His Word is unhindered. Join us as we pray for the continued proclamation of the gospel among the nations.
