This may make you feel sick.

Apple's Magic Mouse
Here's a good review of Apple's new mouse for anyone who is thinking of making the change. "I have yet to decide whether the Magic Mouse is much of an improvement over its predecessor. The multitouch capability and lack of a scroll ball to gum up are definite upgrades, but the loss of Exposé and Dashboard support about balance that out for me."
Gore's Dual Role
When it comes to something like global warming, it's always wise to "follow the money." When you follow the money you find that a whole lot of it is leading right back to Al Gore. It's almost like the prosperity gospel...

You had me confused. I think this is supposed to read "A La Carte (11/4)" If I'm wrong and there is no error, would you mind lending me a hand with my stock portfolio sometime? :-P

I actually watched the Prosperity Gospel in Africa yesterday. I used to live in Kenya (serving as a missionary/church planter). It has absolutely disastrous consequences, but West Africa (Nigeria specifically) seems to take the cake, and their cue from the US. I don't think there is anything more sad than seeing people literally be raped like the first preacher featured who says that God wants to bless them and to tell the people to "make sure they pay in dollars!" Sick.

Watching that literally made me sick to my stomach. How lost they are - perhaps more than people who haven't even heard the name of Jesus. What can we even do to combat this?

That prosperity gospel video is heart wrenching. I've already shared it with a bunch of folks. We had missionaries visiting in our church last Sunday and this was one of their points of discussion. The spread of the prosperity "gospel" in Africa is a real hindrance to missionaries trying to teach orthodox Christianity to the African people. To answer Emily's question: churches need to provide greater prayer and financial support to those missionaries. They need help combatting these false teachings.

On a totally separate note, I really enjoy the new Apple Magic Mouse. I think Apple could probably fix the lack of support for Expose, Dashboard and the Application Switcher with a software update.

Keep up the great work on this blog,

Lance
