A La Carte (11/15)

I have just one day left in India before I begin the long journey home. I have not had a lot of access to the Internet in the past 24 hours, so have only a few links to share. I hear rumors of a blockbuster trade involving my Toronto Blue Jays but, not surprisingly, that has not made the news in India.

Digital Tabletalk – Here’s news I’m really glad to hear: Ligonier Ministries’ Tabletalk magazine is now available in a digital format. It is on iPad now and will soon be available on other devices.

Does My Temperament Make Me Sad? – “What about the question of temperament? Do ‘people who tend to be more thoughtful also tend to be sadder’?” It’s a good question. David Powlison takes it on.

The Last Letter – Here is the last letter of a godly grandfather. What a legacy!

Fear-Mongering and Loyalties – Mike Leake: “My point in this article is not really even political. I care little about a discussion on Obama, Romney, or any third-party candidate. What I do care about are those professing to be believers being swept up in worldly fear.”

  • Tutor

It Comes with a Personal Tutor

The promised Spirit has come, and one of the great helps this Helper performs is a kind of tutoring. Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth says it well: “Unlike any other book that has ever been written, the Bible is alive; and it comes with a personal tutor—the Holy Spirit, who lives in us.”
