Call to Worship
“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!” (Psalm 105:1–3)
This call to worship God comes from psalm 105. And this psalm is not only calling on us to thank God and sing praises to God, it is calling on us:
– to make known God's deeds among the peoples.
– to tell of all his wondrous worksAnd this includes declaring God's best work of all – that God is saving a people to himself in his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the one true Head of the church. Let's praise God for his working of salvation in Christ together now.

Catechism & Confession of Faith
Let's affirm out loud together what we as a church believe from our Statement of Faith. The words are printed in your songsheet; Please read articles 8 and 9 out loud with me:
8. Jesus Christ alone is the Head of the one true Christian Church,
which is made up of only those people who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
All these are presently indwelt by the Holy Spirit,
and by their words and deeds show their allegiance to Christ.9. There are two ordinances which have been instituted by the Lord Jesus;
believers baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Neither of these has, in itself, the power to save men from their sins,
but are outward symbols of inward, spiritual realities.Service Leader
Confession of Sin
We just affirmed in our Statement of Faith that the one true Christian Church is made up of only those people who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, who are presently indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and who SHOW their allegiance to Christ by their words and deeds.
But let me ask you this:
Have you shown your allegiance to Christ in ALL of your words and ALL of your works this week? Now, make no mistake, Christ-honouring words and God-glorifying works DO NOT save a person. But they do mark a saved person. You simply cannot be a fruitless follower of Jesus. Those don't exist. So brothers and sisters, let's all take a moment to silently confess our sinful failure to make much of Christ with all of our words and in all of our deeds this week, and let's also ask God for grace and strength to live for Christ this coming week. Please pray silently and confess your sins now.

Assurance of Pardon
Brothers and sisters remember the words of the apostle John:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
It's not your perfect words or perfect works that save you, Christian. It is your perfect Saviour, Jesus Christ. So we praise Christ, the one true Saviour; He is all we have, and he is all we need.

“‘Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.’” (Jeremiah 31:31–34)
