Reel Discernment
I'm really enjoying Focus on the Family's new feature "Reel Discernment. This week "hosts Bob Waliszewski and Cheryl Wilhelmi discuss new releases Fame, Surrogates, and Bright Star, as well as new DVD release X-Men Origins: Wolverine."
Dan Brown's Errors
"Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol, says that his books, while fictional, are grounded in fact. We look at 50 of his claims. "
U2's Tour
This article about U2's current world tour has some incredible information in it. "Whether we're playing or not, the overhead is about $750,000 daily. That's just to have the crew on payroll, to rent the trucks, all that. There's about 200 trucks. Each stage is 37 trucks, so you're up to nearly 120 there. And then the universal production is another 50-odd trucks, and there are merchandise trucks and catering trucks."

U2 is playing tonight in the University of Virginia's football stadium which I walk by frequently.

For the past week they've been building a temple to Bono (i.e. the MASSIVE stage)! It is unreal.

Just saw U2 last night in DC for the first time. Incredible show, but I admit I prefer a more intimate setting like a college gymnasium. I used to spend $10 to see the 77s, The Choir, Prayer Chain, and Steve Taylor and get to meet and talk with them after the show... the good ole' days...

Hi-this comment isn't related to this post, but I was just wondering if you were going to post the winner of the waterproof bible drawing? :)I've been promoting it on my Twitter/Facebook and have been dying to know who won before I decide when to order one (or a zillion, as gifts). thanx :)-sam

Ah U2. Gone are the days of small stages, small budgets and the album Boy. Definitely my favourite band of the 80s and 90s.
