This week, the giveaway has been sponsored by P&R Publishing.
Hymns are first and foremost devotional poetry, meticulously written with care and skill to awaken the soul and, in the words of Isaac Watts, “turn a divine meditation.” Though the church regularly sings hymns paired with the beauty of music, good hymn texts can stand on their own, and Dan has sought to reflect that in this book. Whether these hymns are familiar or new to you, the intention is for you to meditate on the truth and beauty of the lyrics.
From Sing! Hymnal editor Dan Kreider, this elegant devotional features 365 classic hymns, including many unfamiliar gems, each paired with a brief meditation and suggested tune.
Features two-color printing, two satin ribbons, and a title index in a beautiful cloth-bound hardcover volume.
“This is a beautiful invitation to begin each day in the company of the church’s song, awakening our hearts to the truth and wonder of Christ.”
